The Ranger Pleco is a species of catfish with a unique appearance. They have a dark brown to light green body with a pattern of black or yellow spots, giving them a speckled or marbled look. The dorsal and pectoral fins have a pointed appearance with spots on all its fins. Ranger plecos prefer a well-decorated aquarium with plenty of hiding places like caves, driftwood, and plants. They are generally peaceful and do well in community tanks. Ranger plecos are primarily bottom-feeders, and their diet consists of algae, vegetables, and sinking pellets.
