Refund policy

Health Guarantee on Live Animals (in-store purchases ONLY)

The Waterfront is committed to providing healthy livestock, but we recognize that issues may arise.

  • Freshwater fish come with a 6-day health guarantee. (exclusions may apply)
  • All animals MUST be taken home immediately. For longer transits please ensure proper temperatures for the items.

 

To qualify for a replacement, customers must provide:

  1. A clear image of the intact remains within the guarantee period.
  2. A water sample tested in-store within the guarantee period.
  3. Failure to notify and supply images and water sample, within the guarantee time period, will void any and all guarantee.

Exclusions & Limitations:

  • The guarantee does not cover live plants.
  • We do not guarantee fish gender or fish compatibility. 
  • We do not offer refunds or replacements due to buyer’s remorse (changing your mind after purchase).
  • If a fish’s death is determined to be unrelated to health issues, The Waterfront reserves the right to deny refunds or replacements.
  • In-store credit can not be applied towards hard goods.

 

Important Notice:

  • We strongly recommend quarantining all new fish before introducing them to an existing tank. The Waterfront is not responsible for illness or loss of other livestock—whether purchased from us or not—due to improper or lack of quarantine.
  • If a product is purchased—either online or in-store—and is held for any period of time, and the customer later decides to cancel the purchase or no longer wants the item, The Waterfront SLC may charge a restocking fee of up to 15%. This fee applies whether the funds are refunded or transferred to a different item.
  • All fish must be picked up or shipped within 7 days of purchase. If a buyer requests that any item be held beyond this period, the buyer assumes full responsibility for the item. In the event of loss or death for any reason, both the item and its monetary value are entirely the buyer’s responsibility.

Return Policy on Hardgoods

  • All Sales Final on driftwood, plants, botanicals, tanks/lids/stands or frozen foods.
  • Packaged hardgoods may be returned within 30 days, but must be unopened and unused to qualify.
