The Bristlenose Pleco (Ancistrus sp.) also known as the Bushynose Pleco is a freshwater fish native to South America. They have a distinct appearance with short, bushy tentacles on their noses, which they use to help them find food. Bristlenose Plecos come in a variety of colors, ranging from black to brown to albino. They prefer a well-decorated aquarium with plenty of hiding spots and plants to graze on. Bristlenose Plecos are peaceful, hardy and easy to care for, making them popular in the aquarium hobby.
