The Spotted Congo Puffer (Tetraodon schoutedeni), also known as the Schoutedeni Puffer, is a small freshwater pufferfish native to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. They are covered in dark spots on a lighter background and under belly, which gives them a striking appearance. Spotted Congo Puffers are one of the few puffer that can cohabitate with members of its own species as well as other fish. In some cases they can be aggressive and territorial towards other fish. They prefer a heavily planted aquarium with plenty of hiding places such as caves and driftwood.
