Tank 10
The Red Head Tapajos (Geophagus pyrocephalus) is a visually stunning freshwater fish species. It features an elongated body with a vibrant red-orange head and a metallic blue body. These fish prefer a well-decorated aquarium with sandy substrate, rocks, caves, and driftwood. Red Head Tapajos are known to engage in digging behavior, rearranging the substrate. They thrive in a community tank setting and can add a striking pop of color to any aquatic setup.
These individuals show the albino trait, keeping their hue of blue and red head, but with a light cream/yellow body base color.
